Introduction of Ribosome RNA Sequencing

Ribosome RNA sequencing is the technology to determine the actively translated mRNA in samples. In combination with high-throughput next-generation sequencing (NGS), it allows systematic monitoring of cellular translation processes and prediction of protein abundance. Compared to RNA-Seq technologies that can quantify mRNA abundance across the transcriptome, our ribosome RNA sequencing technology can also provide transcriptome-wide information on protein synthesis. What's more, the high resolution of this technique allows detailed analysis of ribosome density on individual RNAs. Our ribosome RNA sequencing technology has successfully performed a range of studies in both prokaryotes and eukaryotes.

Ribosome RNA Sequencing Service in CBL

After obtaining the cell or tissue samples, we first digest free mRNA with nucleases and then enrich them for ribosome-mRNA complexes. Finally, the target RNA fragment can be obtained. According to the subsequent library construction and data analysis, the protein translation levels can be determined.
