Introduction |
RRBP1 is a membrane-bound protein found in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER). RRBP1 can enhance binding of certain mRNAs to the endoplasmic reticulum in a manner that does not require ribosome activity, possibly by directly binding to the phosphate backbone of the mRNA. Additionally, RRBP1 may promote polyribosome binding to transporters and play a role in ER morphology. |
