| Introduction |
The EXOSC1 gene encodes a key component of the exosome complex. Mammalian exosomes are required for the rapid degradation of AU-rich RNA. Binding of the EXOSC1 protein to exosomes is mediated by protein-protein interactions with ribosomal RNA processing protein 42 and ribosomal RNA processing protein 46. |
